Takahashi Shoten Co., Ltd. has recently produced “Fukuoka Prefecture Gin by agataJapan,” a craft gin that features Yame tea—a specialty of Fukuoka Prefecture—as its key botanical, as the 23rd installment of the “Prefectural Gin Project by agataJapan” organized by Star Mark Co., Ltd.

The aroma and lingering finish of Yame tea—nurtured by Yame’s abundant water and mountains—are captured in a single drop of gin. This spirit is crafted using Takahashi Shoten’s sake lees shochu as its base, drawing on 300 years of sake-brewing expertise.
